Sprinter KYLIAN is set for an international summer after adding a Listed victory to his three handicap wins for the stable in Germany on Sunday, 1st June.
Our exciting four-year-old dominated the six-furlong Casino Baden-Baden Silberne Peitsche, justifying favouritism under top international jockey Adrie de Vries.
Archie says: “It was fantastic to see Kylian win at this level. He had a great winter on the All-Weather at home and I am delighted for his owner Sheikh Hamed Dalmook Al Maktoum that he has now won in stakes company again.
“Adrie gave him a great ride. He travelled very well on his step up in trip and kept on well in the straight. We will most likely keep looking abroad with him and hopefully he can continue to be very competitive in similar races.”
The son of Invincible Spirit won a by a comfortable three-parts of a length from the German-trained Schutzenzauber to achieve his second career win at Listed level following his Dragon Stakes success for Karl Burke as a two-year-old.
He began a productive winter for Archie and the team with a Class 2 handicap win at Newcastle in November and showed his versatility by adding to that in similar company at both Lingfield Park in December and Wolverhampton the following month.
The first foal of a Listed winner, his sixth career win from just 20 starts takes his prize money haul beyond £130,000 and sets him up for more stakes targets overseas in the coming months.
