It’s all systems go for the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes for BRADSELL following his impressive comeback win in France last weekend.
Our dual Royal Ascot winner will head to York for the five-furlong showpiece on Friday 23rd August after brushing aside an 11-month injury lay-off in Deauville.
Winner of the Coventry Stales at two and the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes last summer, Victorious Racing’s speedy son of Tasleet came back in style in the five-furlong Listed Prix du Cercle.
Archie says: “It was great to see Bradsell back winning so well after such a long time off the track. The race had been the plan for a long time and he showed that he retains all his ability and enthusiasm.
“It’s been a fantastic effort from everyone to get him back on the racecourse and he has come out of the race in great order at home. The Nunthorpe will be the next plan, all being well.”
Bradsell was always travelling sweetly under stable jockey Hollie Doyle, asserting to justify favouritism by a comfortable length and three-quarters.
He hadn’t been seen in public since finishing unplaced in the Group 1 Flying Five Stakes at The Curragh last September. Before that he had supplemented his Royal Ascot success with a creditable third in the Nunthorpe, just behind Live In The Dream and Highfield Princess.
