A campaign in fillies’ stakes races is on the agenda for HAVANA BALL, who boosted her value with a Listed success in Germany on 20th May.
Our Lone Star Investments filly made all the running in the Grosser Preis der Hannoverschen Volksbank at Hanover, scoring by a comfortable three parts of a length.
Commenting on her success, Archie says: “It’s fantastic to make Havana Ball a stakes winner. She’s been very progressive and after getting placed black type in Chantilly in the Spring is now a black type winner.
“Luke Morris gave her a great ride, controlling the race on the front end and kicking away from the field. She’s become a valuable filly for Lone Star Investments and we will look to continue campaigning her in seven-furlong fillies’ stakes races this season.”
A £100,000 daughter of Havana Grey, the three-year-old returned from a short break to win for the second time in five career starts following a Wolverhampton novice success on the Tapeta in November.
She began the season with a third in the Listed Prix Montenica at Chantilly in March, finishing just behind stable companion Action Point, and became Archie’s third stakes winner of the month following Outbox’s win in the Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket and Shartash’s success in the Listed Spring Trophy at Haydock Park.
